The Impending Return of H1N1: You Have Questions and We Have the Answers

Live CE Program Provides You With All You Need To Know About the Second Coming of H1N1 Influenza

Current data collected by various global health agencies indicate that the H1N1 virus is returning, and it could be with a vengeance. Estimates are that 50% of the U.S. population will be infected this fall and throughout the winter. According to the CDC, current visits to doctors for influenza-like illness are higher than what is expected in the summer and has increased over the past two weeks. Almost all of the influenza viruses identified were the new 2009 H1N1 influenza A viruses. For pharmacists and other health care professionals, the impending return of the H1N1 virus leads to many questions:

  • What makes this version of H1N1 virus different from the previous one?
  • Will antiviral agents still work?
  • When will the H1N1 vaccine be available, and who is expected to administer it?
  • What can I do for patients who exhibit flu symptoms?

The answers to these questions, and more, can be found by signing up for this webinar on LivePharmacyCE.com.
